Catching Up...

Needless to say, Cooper is keeping me super busy these days. He is constantly on the go and I haven't had much time to post.. so time to "catch up" .... lots of pictures this time!

We took Cooper to Cookie Cutters for his first haircut. It was adorable ... he chose to sit in the black Volkswagen and watched Thomas the Tank while the stylist cut his hair. Coop sat really still while she was cutting... in the picture above he's talking to her while she's cutting his hair. :) They printed a special certificate and gave him a little bag for his hair. Great keepsake for the baby book! He even got a balloon - which he kept thinking was a ball. I actually just went back last week for his second hair cut and things didn't go so smoothly... Cooper was flinging himself around and screaming as the stylist attemted to cut his hair... I don't know how they do it!

"Ball" is definitely Cooper's obsession. I'm sure Daddy had something to do with that. Cooper says the word "ball" all day long and can identify a ball anywhere we go! There is no question what his favorite toy is.
Cooperman can pull up and cruise the furniture like crazy now. He uses a walker and push toys to "walk" around. It feels like he might start walking anytime now... very exciting!

Mother's Day weekend pictures...I wasn't kidding when I said it's been awhile since I've posted! :)

We went to see EJ's mom (Grandma Loree) in Winamac. Cooper is playing with his toy on the deck. We went to breakfast and Cooper looooved making a big mess of his scrambled eggs and toast.

Back in Indy, we had lunch at my mom's house (Mimi).





Swim lessons.. having fun with the noodle, kick board, singing songs, playing with water toys, & doing the backstroke! haha :)

Our little monkey :) .. We are planning Cooper's 1st birthday and the theme of course is 'monkeys' since we always refer to Coop as our "monkey."

Playing in the backyard with the sprinkler.. I am babysitting a couple kiddos a few days a week and we had so much fun playing in the sprinkler one, hot eighty degree day.

We went out and celebrated Uncle Jonny's 21st birthday by taking a limo downtown to Rock Bottom Brewery. Cooper didn't get to come along for the ride though... he stayed home with Mimi & Poppy.

Memorial Day weekend - Playing outside on his new swing set with his cousins, Emma & Grant. We can't wait to go to Myrtle Beach with them in a couple weeks!!!

Cooper is really enjoying his swim lessons at the YMCA. We sing little songs and work on splashing, kicking and blowing bubbles in the water. At the end of the class they get to play with pool toys. He absolutely loves getting in the pool. We can't wait for the outdoor pool to open up!! Only a few more weeks!

9 month pictures!

9 months old!!!!

Where does the time go? Before we know it, we will be celebrating Cooper's 1st bday! The latest with Cooper: he can officially crawl ... still likes to do the army crawl on occasion though. He can also get up the stairs now. Mommy and Daddy need to put a baby gate up STAT! He can say Mamma and Dadda (yay!). One of the most exciting new developments/milestones was when Mommy went to get Cooper up from his nap and he was standing in his crib! Thank goodness we had lowered the crib mattress or I'm sure our brave little man would attempt to crawl/jump out of his bed. We are looking forward to his 9 month pictures (scheduled for Wednesday) and doctor appointment (next Wednesday). Will keep you posted with more info and pictures of course!

***Special congrats to our friends Jamie & Mark on their baby boy Ethan Robert Schoenfeldt who was delivered this morning! Cooper can't wait to meet his new little buddy!!! ***

Laila's First Birthday Party (Cooper, Laila, Graham)

Cooper had a double ear infection a couple weeks ago... So thankful Poppy could make a "house call" and hook him up with some medicine. Cooper thought he was big stuff using the stethescope to listen to Mimi's heart and having Poppy check his ears. Then he wanted to play a little song with his maracas for Mimi and Poppy.
